It is the first cardiac assistance in the world implantable for life, without motorization and without energy, neither external nor internal, without affecting the native heart (or its functions), and is therefore completely distinct from an artificial heart .

This system full of promises, was carried out by an Italian-French team, with the agreement of the Italian Ministry.

We have demonstrated that this system works correctly on five simulation machines and we have carried out very promising tests. Some minor adjustments need to be made to the device. But that should not pose any particular problems.
